The Forums will give you the opportunity to ask questions to enable you to ensure effective implementation both as players and umpires. All county teams must send a representative to one of the above Forums. All umpires should attend (includes those umpires preparing for their test). We expect that the new Rules Book (2007 edition) will be available to purchase on the evening. Osterley Summer Netball League 10 April 2008 What better way to keep fit through the Summer than by playing Netball in the sunshine? Beginner Umpire Course - 20th January 2008: Harlington Sports Centre, Pinkwell Lane, Hayes, Middlesex, UB3 1PB, Time: 10- 2pm Aim - to introduce the rudiments of umpiring a netball match at junior/youth/adult level in a club environment (this course is predominantly theory based). Eligibility - People aged from 12 years above C Award Umpiring Course - 27th January 2008:Kingsbury High School, Princes Avenue, Kingsbury, NW9 9JR. Time: 10-4pm. Aim - To prepare umpires with knowledge of rules and umpire competencies/ protocols to umpire at either junior/youth and adult club level. Eligibility - People above 12 years old and adults who have attended a Beginner Umpire Award course or who have umpiring experience at league level. B Umpire Course- 3rd February 2008: Harlington Sports Centre, Pinkwell Lane, Hayes, Middlesex, UB3 1PB, Time: 10- 2pm Aim - To improve knowledge of the rules. Improve Umpiring skills. Identify the requirements for Netball Europe B Award. Prepare trainee 'B' umpires for the assessment, which is a pre-requisite to applying for the test. NETBALL TRAINING, SATURDAY MORNINGS 10-12am, TWYFORD SPORTS CENTRE W3 25 September 2007 Bush Twyford will be running fortnightly Saturday training sessions with an experienced coach from 10-12am at Twyford Sports Centre W3 from October 2007. Maureen Hits the Road 19 September 2007 Well done to Maureen Batterbee who ran for the Breast Cancer Campaign in the Hydra Active 5k run in Hyde Park on Sunday. Her time was 41 minutes 32 seconds - her best time ever! You may have seen her, with about 15,000 others, on BBC2!
